The Retail Experience team is responsible for the procurement of in-store color selection tools and collateral, including printed marketing materials, sales aids and in-store displays. We are focused on creating retail programs that will help consumers more easily find their color, enjoy their in-store experience and increase sales. For this role, we are seeking a candidate who can manage the day to day forecasting and transnational needs, while creating a future state system that relies more on automation. Seeking a super user/CI athlete with technical skill in demand planning and systems building.
JOB SCOPE/ SUMMARY:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Partner cross functionally in an effort to bring leanings and best practices to VM as an opportunity to minimize waste and streamline workload.
Participate in and recommend Kaizen events in an effort to streamline process and minimize pain points within the department
Develop and maintain inventory and planning reports at the daily, weekly and monthly time frames, along with distribution center (DC) inventory stocking plan that ensures enough finished goods to ship customer orders 100% complete.
Update usage, spend and stock status reports, while implementing automation to eliminate the need for manual updates.
Generate forecasts for assigned sales aids, suggest order quantities to Buyers, and implement a system to automate this process.
Record and report forecast accuracy. Based on results, identify action plans to continually search for ways to improve forecast accuracy.
Generate ad-hoc analysis to identify and report trends and anomalies. As requested, assemble the ad-hoc analysis in a clear and concise report format for review by various stakeholders.
Identify slow moving items and suggest a scrap reserve or usage plan to keep inventory turns up, ensure accurate financial reporting, and reduce inventory of dated materials.
Work closely with Suppliers, Distribution and Visual Merchandising teams to ensure perpetual inventory system is timely and accurate.
Enter receipts, stock transfer orders, and inventory adjustments in SAP.
Research and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
Maintain Master Data in SAP is in the areas of Material Master and Bill of Materials.
Plan, monitor and report results of cycle counts and physical inventories.
Back-up the store support specialist for in-store service and repair requests.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/TRAINING:
Bachelor’s degree required
Minimum of 3 years experience in forecasting or demand planning
SAP experience preferred
CPF, APICS, or other forecasting certification preferred
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES RECOMMENDED FOR POSITION:
Continuous Improvement mindset, particularly the ability to facilitate a Kaizen/Value Stream Mapping event and lead a team toward future state
Demand Planning expertise
Technical skill to work with IT and/or SAP team to automate repetitive tasks
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to create complex spreadsheets using vlookup, if-then statements and Pivot tables
Strong problem solving skills and experience analyzing large sets of data
Must be able to handle complexity and balance day to day workload with longer term projects
Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, and to work effectively on a team
